What I would tell you

- 租车柜台的保险条款一定要看清楚，听不懂就请对方写下来，没有人会不耐烦。
- 冰岛的加油站很多是自助刷卡，出发前确认你的卡能用。
Before and after
Before: I assumed the language barrier would make the whole trip impossible.
After: The language barrier mattered for about ten minutes at a counter. The rest of the time it was irrelevant.
